Thursday Thought... Just Remember

“When Life Gives You Lemons…”

— A Poem of Strength, Sacrifice & Salvation

When life gives you lemons, sour and steep,
And the night feels long, too restless for sleep,
Pause and remember—He drank a bitterer cup,
In a garden of sorrow, where His tears rose up.

Not every cross we bear is fair,
But He bore all—our shame and despair.
While we cry over bruises and wounds unseen,
He was pierced by thorns for hearts unclean.

He was given a garden, to weep and kneel,
Where sweat fell like blood—raw, deep, and real.
He was given a hill, where nails met flesh,
A crown of mockery, pain afresh.

He was given a tomb, dark, still, and cold,
Yet out from its grip, the stone He rolled.
No lemon, no thorn, no grave too strong—
Redemption rose with a morning song.

So when storms sour the sweetness of breath,
And life offers trials instead of rest,
Don’t forget the Savior’s climb—
His path was steeper, His pain divine.

For the Chronicles of Christ—written in blood,
Speak louder than mine, or any flood.
Though Tyeshia’s Chronicles may shine with grace,
His book rewrote time, mercy, and space.

No tale of man, no voice of mine,
Can match His wounds or love divine.
Every soul, from king to kind,
Finds freedom in what He left behind.

So when lemons come, don’t just endure—
Let His scars remind you: you’re loved, secure.
You weren’t meant to rot in gloom—
You were meant to rise…
from the garden,
the hill,
and the tomb.
