Don't be a busybody

1 Thessalonians 3:11-12 encourages us not to be a busybody and if we are scripture commands us to work in silence and to eat our own bread. Honestly, this is just my observation but hear me out. If we are busy working and focusing on the mission of Christ, then there will not be any room for feeding and nurturing chaos in our lives and in the lives of those who
surrounds us.
Recently, in the news we had a tragic situation where the Pastor's son killed the youth minister on Easter Sunday. All of this took place over affairs that we as believers are forbidden to do. Living a godly life is a must and must not be compromised. Trying to fit into a world that eliminates Christ should not be our desire. For some reason, saints are deeming their light in order to blend in with a dying world while trying to please their fleshly desires. We must uproot ourselves from flesh and the world. Flesh only seeks what pleases the flesh and The Spirit seeks Spiritual desires. Therefore, we must deny ourselves in order to please The Most High.
Please don't get me wrong. I do understand that in raising our children to follow Christ they will choose their own road to travel. Nevertheless, scripture has ensured us that they will not depart from the teachings. Our teaching is the yellow brick road that no matter what will lead them back to Christ (Proverbs 22:6).
However, many children are growing up without knowing who Christ is and what He has done for them. Many young adults do not know what John 3:16 says. This should not be. Especially among believers. It's tragic to see young lives lost because they have more knowledge and influence from celebrities than the church.
When a person gets bitten by an animal that has rabies, they can go mad if they are not treated properly. Our children have been bit by the unclean animal called sin and it has our children going wild. It's truly upsetting to know that our young people have no morals, no care or concern for others and they are living under an entitlement spell.
We must transcend beyond the world's perspective and ideology in the raising of our children. The world does not understand holiness. Therefore, it cannot accept what it does not understand. Nevertheless, they can accept what they see. For instance, many who knew you in your past, knows how messed up and misunderstood you may have been prior to coming to Christ. Now, when trouble arise and you react in a different manner, they see that, and they do not deny the transformation even if they are the ones to put you to the test.
Again, this is just my observation. However, if you are a man in leadership, you must know how to raise your children properly. If not, how can you do anything in the house of the Lord when you cannot manage your own household (1 Timothy 3:4). Ladies, we must learn when to speak and when not to speak because our children are watching and learning from us, and we don't want to raise up another generation of busybodies because of our lack of self-control. We must strive at becoming that Proverbs 31 woman.
Pursue peace and honor holiness because we are commanded to "be ye holy for our God is holy." This is vital in our walk with Christ. Christ honored The Most High in all of his being including actions. Christ lived an honorable life of holiness. This is why he was able to become the Holy Lamb of God. Therefore, if Christ could do it, so can we. Christ was and is our example for conquering a holy lifestyle. Christ taught us how to respond to our adversary. He showed us how to depend on The Most High with the small things we have. For instance, his faith and dependance on The Father allowed him to take 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread to feed 5,000 hungry men. Christ showed us how to forgive those who wrong us like he did Peter when he denied him. Christ showed us how to respond when one who is closes to us betrays us. We are without an excuse. Christ was given to us as a gift of light to lead us down this narrow path of holiness.
There is too much work to do on this journey and we have no time to waste on ungodly things. Gossiping, spreading rumors, preying on others are not from The Most High Yah. Therefore, we shouldn't be participating in it. It is a total waste of precious time that dishonors Yah.
I am encouraging you to find a way to honor God by being the light in someone's world. Change a heart by rendering aid through The Word in a broken person's life. Put a smile on someone's face by doing something unexpected in the mist of someone's crisis. Honor the Father and He will honor you.
I want you to be bless my brothers and sisters and remember, don't be a busybody. Being a busybody is exhausting, pointless and a complete waste of time and you are better than that.
